Modcloth Sale- subtitle I Love Minimalism and Modcloth. It’s a Conundrum.

red dress**This post contains affiliate links. If you buy something from them, I will get a portion of the sale. My opinions are my own, and I really do basically get everything I own from Modcloth, with my own money.**

So, I just got an order from Modcloth. The trick is, starting today they have one of the best sales I’ve ever seen. Stuff I just bought is now 40% off. It’s making me crazy. Of course now I want to buy more stuff. They have this thing where they sell things in just one color, and slowly roll out new colors. It really sucks me in.

Remember when I talked about how much I love this red dress? Well, now they have a cream version, and it’s super cute and on sale. Did I ever mention how this dress has pockets? I really wish my husband didn’t hate it, but since he does I’m saving some money. For reference if you buy this, they’re not kidding when they say UK sizes are a lot smaller than US sizes. I usually wear a 10 in US sizes, and I got this dress in a 16 and it fits perfectly. Don’t say I didn’t warn you 🙂

A few more pretty things that I’m drooling over, but do not need (sales, I’m telling you… sucking me in!):

black gingham dress with lace back

gorgeous burgundy coat

super cute bag- I’ve been wanting the blue version of this for so long

soft pajamas

And for what I actually bought! I am quickly realizing that since I hurt both my calf and my knees, I can’t wear heels anymore for every day. All winter I have been wearing boots, but spring is coming fast and I have zero flats that aren’t boots. I’m going to be barefoot! I decided to try two different flats that aren’t even part of the sale. I’m hoping one of them is comfortable.

ballet like flats

simple, beige flats

iphone5/5s charger – I wish I didn’t need this so much, but I do. I am trying to come to terms with the fact that my phone rarely leaves my hand…

rainbow umbrella – I want this to go with my bright red raincoat and boots!

Does anyone have some super comfortable flats that they could recommend for wearing to the office? Our dress code is business casual.

  1. Arrrgh I love Modcloth! I spend so much money on that site. Or, I should say spent. I had to delete the app from my phone and unsubscribe from the mailing list because they kept taunting me and I need to save for my wedding in September. I do have to buy a bathing suit because I’m going to Mexico in two months, so maybe I’ll just take a peek…

  2. I’ve had my eye on this suit, but it’s not on sale. It’s not like that’ll stop me, though! http://www.modcloth.com/shop/onepiece-swimwear/bathing-beauty-one-piece-swimsuit-in-cherry-pie

  3. I really, really love Modcloth. There is just way too many things to buy. If I was okay with spending my entire paycheck on there, I would spend more time looking. I’ve made a vow to stay away though. Haha

  4. What a great list of beautiful things. You can’t buy those pjs- isn’t one of your goals to look pulled together for your husband at home? Believe me when I say pajama sets scream PMS and no sex in a man’s world ha! ha! My partner surprised me with that Winterberry Tart Coat in Burgundy for Christmas in 2013. In the year I have owned it I have LOOOOOOOVED it and have received many compliments. I will warn you that it is extremely warm, so if you’re wearing a heavy sweater it’s going feel like you’re on fire! Oh, how I love a good pair of flats. My go to designers are Cole Haan (the price will take your breath away. I learned to scour the Rack for them), Jessica Simpson, and Steve Madden. Sarah Jessica Parker just rolled out a new line as well, with a beautiful strip detail in the back. Sadly, I do not own a pair. I don’t have the energy to deal with the hipsters at my local Nordstrom’s.

    • That is an excellent point about the pjs, though they are cuter than a lot of things I wear! I’m super jealous that you have that coat. Warm is good!

Thank you for the shoe recommendations 🙂

  5. I can’t even click the links. That’s how much I love Modcloth. And if there’s a sale involved, it would be all over. I’ll just stay safely over here, far away from the Modcloth website :).

  6. This post makes me very happy that I’m not into shopping. I love your style, though, and your husband is dead wrong about that dress.
